Café – Assistant Manager
We are looking for an experienced team leader who’s passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and developing our team members. Whether you’re currently a Food & Beverage Supervisor or an Assistant Manager in a similar role this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy Garden Centre café with day-time only hours.
As a hands-on role you will be part of the team delivering service to our customers in addition to helping to lead, inspire, train, and support the team.
There are back office duties to tend to… some of which include; stock management, assisting with daily rotas, cleaning schedules and seasonal planning.
You will help to keep an eye on staffing costs and minimising waste to keep these within budget.

You will have the following..
A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
Good people management skills, including setting objectives and providing feedback.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

You will be able to demonstrate the following experience on your CV…
City and Guilds level 2 or equivalent.
Practical experience of catering best practice including the production and service of good quality food and drink.
Previous management of increasing sales.
Previous management of controlling costs including stock and waste.
Knowledge of all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety compliance requirements.
IT skills, previous experience with catering management.

Salary to £19k

Sales Assistant – Garden Centre
An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Assistant to support the merchandising in the retail areas. We are looking for an experienced and reliable individual, with a passion for customer services, who is conscientious and patient, whilst takes a pride in their work. A flexible approach and experience of working in a busy retail environment are essential.
You must be a good communicator and you should have previous floristry experience with a flair for merchandising.
The position is full-time working five full days per week to a rota, including alternate weekends.
Wage meets national minimum wage.

Baker – Part Time
We are looking for someone who loves baking and has experience of making cakes and desserts in a commercial setting. You will be preparing and decorating cakes, scones and desserts and afternoon teas.
In return we can offer a competitive salary and no evening hours.
Key duties…
Bake and decorate cakes and desserts. Ensure our cake counter is adequately stocked every day to the high standards our customers expect. Working three out of four Sundays, Mondays and on one other day later in the week to be arranged on a rota basis. Total days per week – Three days.
Wage meets national minimum wage.
