Cafe Assistant / Barista
We will be looking to you to make our customers visit to the Café extra special. Scrambled eggs on toast at breakfast or a Chicken Caesar salad for lunch you’ll be serving them freshly prepared food with a genuine pride.

The Garden Centre Café is a popular place, it takes passion and energy to keep the orders moving and the whole place looking at its best. You’ll have a smile for all your customers, and a smile for the rest of the team too.

About you   Energy and stamina and plenty of it, a sharp eye for detail and a positive, proactive approach to getting things done. The Garden Centre Café is a busy place from Breakfast until the last slice of afternoon cake.

Some previous experience is also necessary – an excellent track record of working in a café or restaurant is essential.
Experience of food preparation, kitchen standards and food hygiene is also essential.

Job Type: Part-time 2 to 3 days midweek and every other weekend.

Sales Assistant – Merchandising Gift
An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Assistant to support the merchandising in the retail areas.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable individual, with a passion for customer services, who is conscientious and patient, whilst takes a pride in their work. A flexible approach and experience of working in a busy retail environment are essential as well as a welcoming smile for all your customers and the rest of the team too.

About you   You must be a good communicator and you should have previous merchandising or floristry experience with a flair for creating visually inspiring displays that sell. Experience of customer service is also essential. You will need energy and plenty of it, a sharp eye for detail and a positive, proactive approach to getting things done.

Job Type: Full-time working five full days per week to a rota, including every other weekend.

Tills – Garden Centre
We will be looking to you to make our customers visit to the Garden Centre extra special. The Garden Centre is a popular place, it takes passion and energy to keep the tills moving, the shelves stocked and the whole place looking at its best throughout the day. You will have a welcoming smile for all your customers and the rest of the team too.

About you   Energy and stamina and plenty of it, a sharp eye for detail and a positive, proactive approach to getting things done. The Garden Centre is a busy place. Some previous experience is also necessary – you will have worked on a till in a retail store or similar. Experience of customer service is essential.

Café – Assistant Manager
We are looking for an experienced team leader who’s passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and developing our team members. Whether you’re currently a Food & Beverage Supervisor or an Assistant Manager in a similar role this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy Garden Centre café with day-time only hours.

As a hands-on role you will be part of the team delivering service to our customers in addition to helping to lead, inspire, train, and support the team. There are back office duties to tend to… some of which include; stock management, assisting with daily rotas, cleaning schedules and seasonal planning.

You will help to keep an eye on staffing costs and minimising waste to keep these within budget.

You will have the following..
A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
Good people management skills, including setting objectives and providing feedback.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

You will be able to demonstrate the following experience on your CV…
City and Guilds level 2 or equivalent.
Practical experience of catering best practice including the production and service of good quality food and drink.
Previous management of increasing sales.
Previous management of controlling costs including stock and waste.
Knowledge of all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety compliance requirements.
IT skills, previous experience with catering management.

Salary to £19k

Delivery Driver
As a key member of our team, you will carry out varied duties including the delivery of customer orders from our store to homes around Wirral, Liverpool and Cheshire. Building garden furniture, garden arches and arbours for customer orders. General duties around the warehouse and garden centre when not delivering goods.
A clean driving license is essential & counterbalance fork lift truck license would be desired.

This is a full time permanent position.
Monday – Friday, 9am – 6 pm.
